So my wife and I are off to a May Ball in erm.. May.
The hunt for the dress goes as follows. "Can we go to Meadowhall to find a dress on Thursday night?"......the question every husband dreads.
We toddle off to the Meadowhall in Sheffield to begin the hunt for the perfect dress. "It cant be too short/long/revealing/concealing/tight/loose/cheap/expensive"- That narrows down the search then, this should be a breeze, will take an hour at the most.
So we go into Karen Millen, which apparently have some nice dresses on their website, and begin trying things on. I had come prepared and downloaded some decent games onto my phone in anticipation of long waits outside changing rooms.
The staff in Karen Millen couldnt have been more helpful, bringing a seemingly endless supply of dresses to the changing room door for her to try on.
She found "the one", not too short/long etc etc.
"Why don't you get that one, and we can go and have something to eat now?" I say.
"Let me just have a look in a few other places" she retorts.
Those words will haunt me forever!!!!! 3 hours later, and at least 30 games of poker on my phone later, we return to Karen Millen, and buy the first dress she tries on.
I have come to realise, that this is one of the main differences between men and women. If it were me buying a new suit, I would have researched the suit availability online, decided which suit I wanted, rung ahead to make sure that the shop had it in my size, gone in, maybe tried it on, more than likely not, bought it, and be eating fish and chips in less than 20 minutes.
We have to find matching shoes/handbag/underwear now.
I hope this May ball is worth it.

I'd never take any man clothes shopping with me - always trying to hurry us up!
Anyway, it's alright you complaining now but you won't be saying that when she's on your arm with her matching bag and shoes looking like a million dollars!
She values my opinion, that is why I had to go.
At least that is what she tells me.
She will look a million dollars in the dress, she should do, that is nearly how much it cost!!!!
Women's shopping habits are why men drink
