Moving house!!!

We are due to exchange contracts on our new house later this week all being well.
I am not holding my breath, it has only taken 4 months for the sale to reach this stage, so another couple of weeks wont make any difference.

The fun starts once we complete on the property.
There is so much to do. I was thinking about what we have to do last night, and the list seems enormous.
Get the builders in to take down a stud wall in our bedroom.
Get a plasterer in to plaster over the cracks.
Decorate nearly every room!! That will take ages, especially when you have the decorating skills of a drunk orangutang, and the patience of a 2 year old child.
Once the decorating ordeal is over, we have to start the shopping trips, and you know how much I hate them. We need curtains, light fittings, coffee tables, sofas, uplighters, downlighters, ceiling fans, dining table. The list is seemingly endless.

I was tasked with one thing to buy for the new house, a new TV for the living room.
I spent at least 2 weeks researching on the internet, comparing prices, visiting stores the length and breadth of the country, and found my ideal TV.
40 inches of LCD heaven, all wrapped up in a gloss black finish, ready to adorn the wall of my new house.

Every cloud does indeed have a silver lining.

I just need to find the upscaling DVD theatre system, gold plated hdmi cables, RGB scarts, and arrange my new Sky installation.

Will it ever end?

Where are you moving to? My advice - get the experts in. DIY - even more stressful than moving house.

We are just moving up the road in Ripley to a bigger house.
I am definitely getting the experts in, I am useless at DIY and Antoinette wont let me own power tools.
You will all have to pop round when you are up next time.
